Biography
Pádraig returned to Adult Education after 10 years of teaching in the Irish Education System. His passion for helping students and his desire to support both students and adults in the midst of life’s challenges led him to further his studies and to complete a certificate and then three year Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He followed this with a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Pádraig has a special interest in anxiety and stress managment and supported this interest by completing further certificate courses in mindfulness, havening, neuro linguistic programming and cognitive behavioural therapy. Pádraig is also an experienced teacher and educator and has substantial experience supporting people in learning and developing a variety of different tools and skills to help support them in their daily lives. He is trained in a range of Evidence Based Therapies and collaborates with the client in order to develop a comprehensive and developmental understanding of the Psychological Processes that underpin the difficulties. This allows for an in-depth integrative therapy which enables him to identify an effective therapeutic plan in order to affect lasting change and discover new resources.
Pádraig’s main goal is to create a relaxed, calm, compassionate and safe space where every client can feel they are acknowledged, accepted and unconditionally supported in order to give the client the best opportunity to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.
