Maria began her studies in September 2012 where she completed a 4-year Batchelor of Arts Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her main focus was training in a person centred approach.
Maria’s approach with each individual client is both holistic and integrative. The theories she works with are primarily Humanistic Person Centred, integrated with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Choice Therapy and Brief Focused Solutions.
Maria provides a professional and confidential Counselling and Psychotherapy service to help individuals make choices and changes needed to cope with everyday living.
The main aim of the Psychotherapeutic process is to give clients the opportunity to work through their feelings and emotions by offering time, attention and support within a confidential and trusting environment. Also to empower and enable clients to talk freely, improve self-esteem, develop better relationships and discover more satisfactory ways of living.
