Dramatherapy is used to help individuals resolve issues that they may be facing in their life. It uses processes such as dramatic play, drama games, role-play and story. The work takes place in the safety of the Dramatherapy environment.
Dramatherapists work with all age groups and abilities, in support of community and social services, education and health services, as well as in private practice.
The Dramatherapist develops and adapts session programmes to meet the needs and abilities of individual clients or client groups. Participants do not need to already have experience in drama.
Each session lasts about one hour and is designed to engage clients, while ensuring that they are protected in the process.
