Biography
Austin returned to Adult Education after 40 years as Director in his family business. He completed a BSc Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy validated by Middlesex University. Austin has a special interest in Childhood Trauma Recovery and supported this interest by completing a further 6 years training in Biosynthesis Somatic Psychotherapy in Switzerland with one of the world’s leading experts and pioneers in Childhood Trauma and Interpersonal Neuroscience Dr. David Boadella. Austin specialised in working with cancer survivors and their families. He has also trained in Clinical Supervision and holds the position of in-house Clinical Supervisor in Primary Care Psychotherapy for the Affordable Counselling & Psychotherapy Practice.
Austin provides a Humanistic, Integrative & Body Oriented Approach to Supervision for Counsellors & Psychotherapists. This allows him to create a safe, playful, reflective and imaginative space to support therapists in their work and development, enabling them to develop and deepen their unique style.
