There are times when adolescents may need extra support if they are finding it difficult to deal with, or understand their emotions and their behaviour.
For the most part adolescents successfully meet most challenges posed by the various stages of their growth and development. However, when they are unable to do so, problems manifest themselves through difficulties in learning, relationships at home or in school and in emotional and behavioural development.
Psychotherapy is a talk-therapy which can help young people to cope and overcome a wide range of emotional problems and mental health difficulties. Inner thoughts and feelings can be explored. This process can help to identify new perspectives and learn healthy and productive responses to difficult situations.
Our independent team of Adolescent Psychologists and Psychotherapists all come with many years’ experience of working skilfully and creatively with adolescents from age 11 to 24, meaning that we can adapt what we offer to suit the particular needs and communication style of the adolescent.
